14-DAY ROTATION
Pitman shift schedule calendar
The Pitman schedule is a 14-day, four-team rotation often used where teams need predictable day and night coverage.
How Pitman differs from a simple weekly rota
The cycle repeats by day, not by weekday. Your workdays move through the calendar while the team rotation distributes weekends over time.
Plan the pattern correctly
Record the starting date and the exact order of work and rest days. Repeat the sequence every 14 days to avoid a drift that can put shifts on the wrong dates.
Use the pay estimate as a second check
Count hours from the generated calendar, then add any overtime and night or weekend premiums. Compare the estimated gross amount with your payslip.
Use your contract and local rules to verify overtime, premiums and rest requirements.
